The Northeast Amateur Invitational will be held June 19-22 at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, Rhode Island. It is the second event of the 2024 Elite Amateur Golf Series. Last year, Nick Dunlap took the win, tying Caleb Surratt for the title. Since then, both players have turned pro. Dunlap won the American Express and moved to the PGA Tour, while Surratt joined Jon Rahm's team at LIV Golf.

The Northeast Amateur has a historic list of winners, including Ben Crenshaw, Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, Luke Donald, Scott Hoch, John Cook, Hal Sutton and David Duval. It has been held annually since 1962 at the Donald Ross-designed Wannamoisett Country Club.

The number of participants is limited to 90 elite players, there is a cut after 54 holes and the entire tournament is played in teams of two.

Designed by Donald Ross in 1914, Wannamoisett Country Club is considered one of the finest in New England. Thick, rough lines form narrow fairways, while the large greens are undulating and difficult to read.

Golf Digest ranked this course 47th on its “100 Best Golf Courses in America” in 1995-96 and 52nd in 1997-98. The same publication also rated it a “Best in State” course in 1995-98.
