Bachelorette star goes viral after spotting Pride parade: ‘I love it’

Australian fire protection specialist, former Bachelorette Contestant and absolute heartthrob Timm Hanly went viral after being interviewed at WeHo Pride.

Hanly, who finished second, The Bachelorette Australia in 2019 and also appeared on Bachelor in Paradise was interviewed by topless content creator Chris Stanley during the 2020 Pride Parade in West Hollywood – and his relaxed manner delighted both gay and straight fans.

The vox-pop-style interview was posted to Stanley's 333,000 Instagram followers and sparked an outpouring of support (and excitement). In it, Hanly admits that he stumbled upon the parade in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, by chance but stayed “because of the vibe.”

“I'm not gay,” says Hanly, “I'm straight, I have a wife and a kid – you know what, we're here from Australia, it's our second day here and we just stumbled upon it by accident – and I'm just here for the vibe.”

“We are absolutely thrilled,” he added, before the Bachelorette Star confirmed that “the gays” can “100 percent” throw a good party.

Then he added: “Nobody does it better.”

Stanley asked how Hanly reacted to being hit on by gay guys, and he said, “Oh, I love that. When a gay guy looks at me…that's just as good as when a girl looks at me, that counts!”

“This is as good for my ego as having a hot girl look at me!”

Hanly himself commented on the video, which received nearly 600,000 likes, saying: “Hahahahaaha, I didn't think this interview would make the cut, but here we go.”

The comments are also completely in love with The Bachelorette Party the star's relaxed, respectful attitude towards Pride.

“This is what comfortable and secure masculinity actually looks like,” wrote one, and another said, “Why can't everyone be as relaxed as Tim?”

A third comment read: “LGBTT (the other T is Tim, an ally)” and actor John Barrowman even added: “We love Tim.”
