Suspected Creature murderer arrested after request from his brother

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Brookvale man Guy (Creature) Haymes following an appeal for information earlier this week.

His brother Mark Haymes made the desperate appeal during a press conference at Manly police station to help police with their investigation and give his family some closure.

Guy, 59, known to his friends as “Creature,” was found with severe head injuries in a Manly apartment on the evening of February 27, 2024.

Police were informed that he later died in hospital on Friday, March 15, 2024.

“He was a kind-hearted person who would never have hurt anyone. Our whole family is shocked and can't believe it. It's unbelievable that his life was cut so short. And in such a brutal way. Not knowing what happened that day and not having any answers is the worst,” Mark said at the press conference.

Information provided in the following days led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man in Greenacre last night.

Monly observers has confirmed the man's name is Jayson Dal Molin. He was refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 16 June 2024).

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with murder, two counts of arresting/detaining a person with intent to obtain an advantage and arresting/detaining a person with intent to obtain an advantage and causing actual bodily harm.
