Miley Cyrus says viral photo with Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato made it clear she's bisexual: 'I mean, hello!'

Miley Cyrus only publicly acknowledged her queer identity in 2015, but is surprised that her fans didn't find out sooner.

The singer reflected on the early years of her career in a series of TikToks to promote her new single “Used to Be Young.” In one of the clips, she joked about a photo that she felt should have sparked more speculation.

The singer of “Flowers” analyzed a photo of herself from 2009, in which she posed with Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Hannah Montana Co-star Emily Osment. In the photo, Cyrus is wearing sweatpants and a casual top, while her companions are all dressed more formally. “This picture has become a meme that says, 'Be the Miley of your circle,'” Cyrus said in the video. “If you didn't know I'm bisexual from that damn picture, I don't know what's wrong with you.”

Cyrus continued, “I think we literally left the Grammys to go to the Cheesecake Factory. Emily, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato go to the Cheesecake Factory. Those are some classy ladies.”

Elsewhere in the video series, Cyrus reflects on the highs and lows of fame as a child star, describing the intensity of her teenage schedule, the surreality of performing with her heroines Rihanna and Beyoncé, and her excitement about performing at Obama's inauguration.

Cyrus also revealed that it was her younger sister Noah who, during her controversial Vanity Fair Photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz. “My little sister Noah sat on Annie's lap and pressed the button on the camera to take the pictures,” Cyrus explained.
