LKPD detectives arrest man in connection with shooting of teenager in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kansas (WIBW) – Lawrence, Kansas police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a teenager that occurred Thursday, June 13 in Lawrence, Kansas.

According to a post on the Lawrence, Kansas Police Department's Facebook page on Friday, June 14, detectives arrested Cir Allen Keith Glover, who is now in jail facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the killing of 17-year-old Isaiah Neal.

Officials with the Lawrence Police Department said they received a tip that led them to Miami County. The LKPD and Miami County Sheriff's Office worked together throughout the night to follow up on leads and ensure the safety of everyone involved in Glover's arrest. Glover ultimately turned himself in without incident.

The LKPD began a search for Glover on Thursday evening, June 13th.

The LKPD stated that officers were called to Alabama 2406 in Lawrence, Kansas, shortly after 1:15 a.m. Thursday. Officers initially found the young man with numerous gunshot wounds and began life-saving aid until paramedics from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical (LDCFM) arrived on the scene.

LKPD officials said at that point, additional officers began securing the scene as a number of witnesses and family members gathered. Investigative personnel were called to the scene. LDCFM paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, where he later died.
